Starting in 2022, we will run weekly sessions in Lausanne to help families discover a range of new sports. Soon, we hope to expand to other locations in Lausanne and Vaud.
We pay all our sports coaches who lead a session in one of our weekly events. If you are interested in working with us, please read the following information carefully before contacting us.
We are mostly looking for sports coaches who already run, or who are interested in running, parent-child sports courses in the Lausanne region. We want families to get the chance to try your sport for the first time at our free events, then if they want to continue, they can sign up directly with you.
If you become an official sports partner of Active Parents Active Kids, we can promote your activities through our website, newsletter, Facebook and Instagram.
We are working hard to promote parent-child physical activity in Vaud and we are sure we can introduce you to new potential clients, as well as make a difference to families who could not otherwise afford to do sports.
All our sports coaches need to be:
- Fully qualified
- Experienced in teaching adults and children
- Flexible and good natured while dealing with large groups and unpredictable sessions
- Fluent in French
- The holder of a Swiss passport or valid Swiss work permit
- Able to pass a criminal records check
- Able to supply two references from previous employers
- Living in the Vaud region
If you do not pass all the criteria (for example you are not yet qualified but are training to be a sports coach), you are invited to volunteer with us, get some events experience and learn from our lead coaches. All our volunteers have to undergo a criminal records check. We are also looking for volunteers to set up and run our sessions, and meet-and-greet new families, and help us with monitoring our impact. We are also interested in volunteers who can help us at special events, such as festivals and sports demonstrations. If you are interested, please contact us.
